This woman is also in Tuscany – alone, no man is with her. Only her breasts are visible, a red cloth covers her most intimate parts.
As to the face: I don’t paint faces in my big pictures (divided into individual areas and lines. I painted faces in my little
pictures, i.e. the pen-and-ink drawings). For me, the face is not as important than the posture and the body language. In my opinion, an empty face is more interesting. An empty face, however, does not
mean that the head is without reason and intellect.
