Striptease
This picture - inspired by pop art – was painted in 2000. I like to paint beautiful female bodies with naked breasts, the legs in
suspender belts or in stockings. Panties, however, cover the most intimate parts of the woman. By the way, in my paintings, this part of the body is always concealed, not visible for the viewer. I like
it better when the women are partly dressed rather than being completely naked.
It is not my intention to paint women as an object of desire. I just want to show them as being beautiful with an erotic touch which
inspires the imagination of the viewer who can develop his own phantasies. It is clearly not my intention to paint vulgar or sexist pictures or to show the women up.
